An Hoang of Ho Chi Minh Recognized for Academic Achievements at Pomfret School

One of 36 honored for outstanding academic achievements in the 2012-13 school year, An , a member of the Pomfret School class of 2014, received the Second in Class Form Scholar for the Class of 2014, the Mathematics Department's Rensselaer Medal, the Harvard-Radcliffe Book Award, and was inducted into the Cum Laude Society.

Coinciding with September's opening day, the faculty and students at Pomfret School ushered in the 2013-14 academic year at the School's annual Convocation ceremony and applauded returning students receiving awards for outstanding academic performance in the 2012-13 school year. Following welcoming remarks from Head of School Tim Richards, Assistant Head for Academics Kate Caspar characterized the student community at Pomfret as young men and women who strive "because of what they want to be." Prior to announcing the academic honors Mrs. Caspar praised the students receiving the awards as individuals "who are daring, patient, and humble."
