Du-Vonte Zimmerman of Waterbury graduates from Pomfret School

With faculty, students, family and friends looking on, Du-Vonte Zimmerman of Waterbury was among the 112 members of the class of 2013 honored on Sunday, May 26, at the Pomfret School Commencement. Following the farewell speech by Harrison W. Chase '13 (an honor conferred by his classmates) and the commencement address by Dr. Ronald Brown, a member of the Pomfret class of 1988, Charles T. Wilmerding (P '11, '14) and President of the Board of Trustees and Head of School Tim Richards (P '15) awarded the diplomas.

Du-Vonte also received the Edward J. Kelley Award, recognizing the post-graduate student who has achieved at a high level in the classroom while being involved in varsity sports while at Pomfret.

Founded in 1894, Pomfret School is an independent college preparatory boarding and day school for 350 students in grades 9 through 12 from 26 states and 13 foreign countries.
