Kaylee Arzt of Tolland has work in Pomfret School Art Exhibit

2014 Apr 15

Kaylee Arzt of Tolland is among the more than forty art students from Pomfret School whose digital artwork--in either print or video format--is currently being featured in RED, a show at P.S. ART, a school-run exhibition space located in the Silver Circle Gallery and Art Center in nearby Putnam. Kaylee is a member of the Pomfret class of 2016.

The exhibit features works by students enrolled in Pomfret's Digital Arts department's Digital Graphics, Motion Graphics, 3D Modeling, and Modeling and Animation classes. Kaylee's contribution to the show is a print from the 3D Modeling course. Digital Graphics and Motion Graphics teacher Junko Pinkowski says members of the School's Digital Designers' Club chose the theme because "they wanted something cohesive and open enough so that it could be explored and interpreted in a variety of ways." RED was organized and curated by Ms. Pinkowski and Digital Arts Department Chair Chris Atwood, who teaches the 3D Modeling and the Modeling and Animation students.

P.S. ART is a year-round gallery that celebrates the tremendous arts program at Pomfret School and features the creative efforts of both students and faculty. RED opened on Friday, March 28, 2014. and will run through April 28 at the Silver Circle Gallery and Art Center, 75 Main Street in Putnam, CT. The gallery hours are Wednesdays through Saturdays, 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM; and Sundays, noon to 4:00 PM.
