Nicole Derosier of Brooklyn Recognized at 2014 Convocation at Pomfret School

The faculty and students at Pomfret School ushered in the 2014-15 academic year at the School's annual Convocation ceremony on Sunday, September 7, and honored returning students receiving awards for academic "excellence and achievements" in the 2013-14 school year. Dean of Academics Patrick Andren presented the awards.

Nicole Derosier of Brooklyn, a member of the Pomfret class of 2015, was one of thirty-nine students in the limelight. Nicole was one of five seniors inducted into Pomfret's Cum Laude Society, a national organization that recognizes excellence in academic work. Membership in the Society "carries the responsibility to make a contribution to the ongoing search for greater understanding of the world in which we live." Nicole also received the World Languages Department Award for excellence and achievement in Spanish III.

Members of the class of 2014 were recognized last May at the traditional senior awards dinner the night before graduation.
